qualified bidder to offer IC3 adult instruction.
The Technology Center Unlimited Potential classes are
also on the New York State approved provider list.
Located in a beautiful building at 36 Exchange Street offered
to us in-kind by the Binghamton Housing Authority, we have programs
serving our youth, adults, and seniors. We are committed to bringing
technology to those who are in need of assistance. We enable all people,
especially those who are economically disadvantaged, to reach their full
potential by providing inexpensive or free access to technology basic to
obtaining economic and social stability. Equipped with twenty state of the
art computers and two laser printers donated by IBM, the Technology Center
has thirteen computers in a classroom setting and seven computers in a lab
area that is open to the public at no cost with free internet access courtesy
of Time Warner. We offer a fun, safe, and friendly environment for learning.
The Technology Center is a proud partner of the World Community Grid, joining
IBM Corporation and a group of leading foundations, public organizations and
academic institutions.
Open Internet Access and Classroom
Available to the community free of charge! We offer daily assistance in j
ob searching activities such as resume building, and using the internet
to find and apply for employment. Common uses: job searching, apartment
shopping, research, documentation, email, schoolwork, and games.
Instructor lead courses use the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Curriculum
in a Microsoft Windows XP and Office XP environment. Course offerings include
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Internet, and Computing Fundamentals.
